New Chief Justice of Ireland

Mr. Justice Donal O’Donnell was nominated by the Irish government on 28 May 2021 to become the 13th Chief Justice and was appointed Chief Justice of Ireland on Monday 11 October 2021. Justice O’Donnell is a Member of the Supreme Court of Ireland since 2010 having previously practiced as a barrister specialising in commercial law and public law.
