Mr Georg Kodek took office on 1 January 2024, succeeding Ms Elisabeth Lovrek, who retired at the end of year 2023. President Kodek was first appointed judge 32 years ago and has been Justice of the Austrian Supreme Court for 17 years. Since 2007 he is also Professor for Civil and Commercial Law at the Vienna School of Economics and Business Administration (Wirtschaftsuniversität Wien).
