New Chief Justice of Estonia

 

Mr Villu Kõve was appointed Chief Justice of Estonia on 31 January 2019.

 

2014–2019: Chairman of the Civil Chamber of the Supreme Court

1997–1999: Adviser, Department of Private Law, Ministry of Justice

1993–1996: Specialist, Department of Private Law, Ministry of Justice,

Chief Judge Köve succeeds Mr. Priit Pikamäe who, by decision of 1 February 2019 of the representatives of the governments of the EU Member States, was appointed as Advocate General at the Court of Justice of the European Union.
